The Watsonia is a deciduous evergreen perennial plant that is grown from corms. This sturdy summer blooming plant belongs to the Iridacae or Iris family and originates from South Africa.
These plants are sometimes referred to as "Bugle Lilies," and can be confused with Gladiolus by the casual observer. Their tall graceful blossoms make excellent cut flower arrangements.
